Rumor Gal Campfire; Thursday Evening

While he was getting pretty damn tired of the whole cabin thing, Chuck would have been stupid not to take advantage of an already lit fire and the new bag of marshmallows he found in the kitchen. He wasn't quite sure who kept buying the marshmallows but Zefron bless them.

Joint in his left hand, Chuck tried his hand at trying to flick marshmallows in the air with his right and catching them in his mouth. Turns out he had a talent for it.

[Mmm my hangover is finally subsiding. Ooooopen, of course]

She shook her head. "I am from a place called Azarath. It is very small and simpler than many other worlds. My mother was from Earth, however. Is that where you are from?"

"Originally," he nodded. "More recently from Narnia. It's much smaller and simpler than many other worlds as well."

"I do not know of Narnia," Raven said. "What is it like there?"

"It's very green. Lots of woods and hills and plains that seem to stretch on forever. There are Talking Animals and centaurs and fauns and dryads. There are a few villages, but mostly Narnians are spread out and like their own space. The ocean is usually a magnificent blue. It's a good place to live. Peaceful, for the most part."

"It sounds lovely," Raven said. "Is it another planet, or another dimension?"

[identity profile] once-a-traitor.livejournal.com 2009-07-24 12:54 pm (UTC)(link)
"Dimension, I think." He didn't sound sure. "You can get to Narnia from Earth without to go through Fandom or a portal to get there, but you can't get there by travelling through outer space. I think that qualifies as another dimension."

"It sounds much like my home," Raven said. "You cannot find Azarath unless you know exactly where to look, unless it lets you find it."

A small smile appeared on Edmund's face. "That sounds exactly like Narnia. There's a way there from the woods here, but the way we first stumbled in was through a wardrobe." That story would never get old.

"...that is a way of traveling I have never before heard of," Raven said. "Was a portal concealed in the wardrobe to protect or hide it?"

"I'm afraid the particulars are beyond me."

"How did you find it then?" Raven asked. "Did you hide in the wardrobe and fall into it?"

"My sister Lucy found it," he explained. "During a game of Hide and Seek. We didn't believe her at first, because the way through to Narnia didn't show itself to the rest of us when we went looking, but then I found my way through and then another time all four of us ended up stumbling into something much bigger than any of us expected."
