Fifth Floor Common Room - Wednesday Evening

After cheerleading practice, Marie made a trip to the Quik Stop to buy bleach for her hair dying adventures that evening.

She changed into an old cheerleading tee-shirt, grabbed a couple bath towels and her brush and headed to the common room to wait for Mac.

She'd also grabbed a variety of snacks and sodas on her trip to the store for anyone who wanted to stop by and socialize.

Marie looked uncomfortable. "Well, see, I made a spirit stick for our squad when we first started," she explained. "And at the last game, I asked Nadia, who is the mascot, to be in charge of it. And she dropped it and the curse turned her into a gremlin."

"I didn't curse it!" Marie insisted. "If you drop the stick, you're automatically cursed. It's cheerleading fact."

She bit her lip. "And our mascot is a gremlin, so she was dressed like one, so I guess that's why."

Marie nodded. "I came from a place where there was nothing like this out in the open," she said. "Of course, I found out that mutants exist in my world. But they're treated very poorly."

"I'm...not used to anything even remotely like this. Everything is perfectly normal where I come from. Or, I guess, what I used to consider normal. Now it's kinda starting to seem just...boring," he said, shrugging.

"That's how I felt at first, too," Marie told him. "Especially because I don't have any special powers or anything. But you get used to it."
