5th Floor Common Room, Saturday Afternoon

After a strange conversation with Phoebe, Bel headed to the common room. Spreading some love and joy would brighten his mood.

The common room was a mess after the party from the night before. Bel waved his hand, setting the room to right. The walls and furniture became bright and cheery colors, and plates of nutritious yet delicious snacks and glasses of orange juice filled the tables. The TV was playing "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" (because people helping other people was quality entertainment suitable for all ages).

He left the glitter, however, because glitter was always fun.

It was hard to miss the common room when you just came out of a room near it, so when Alphonse heard people in it, he came in, still a little confused from when he woke up. And then had to blink at the redecorating.

"Uh, hi Bel," Alphonse said, a bit thrown off by Bel's cheeriness. "And thanks. What's on the TV?"

While Alphonse couldn't exactly disagree with that, it sounded... off, coming from Bel. "Yeah," he said, agreeing. "And who redid the room? It wasn't like this when I passed by last night."

"Well, that's good that you decided to help clean out," Alphonse said, even if he thought it was a little bit too bright for his tastes.

"Cleanliness is next to godliness, as they say," Bel said. He looked around, decided the room needed more cheer, and conjured some flowers on a few tables.

Alphonse blinked and stared, a lot. Bel just... he did, didn't he?

"... Are you feeling all right?" he asked carefully, slowly beginning to realize this might be like Walter's case Nadia told him about.

"Like how?" Bel said. He conjured up a plate of cookies. "Cookie?" he offered. "They're made with organic whole wheat flour."

There was 'you're acting chipper to the point that it's kind of creepy', but instead Alphonse shook his head. Bel probably wouldn't notice now, anyway. "It might be me," he went with, then brightened at the cookie. At least there were munchables involved. "Ooh, thank you," Alphonse said, grabbing a few.

Rikku inspected the boy's pocketses but didn't see any shiny, shiny treasure. Phooey! What kind of person didn't carry shiny treasure around?! Time to zip away again!
