Second Floor Common Room, Sunday Late Night

As the saying went, your ears were supposed to burn or something if someone was talking about you, but Anders's ears had felt just fine today. Which was just as well -- if he'd had any idea what certain parties had been saying about him today he'd be freaking out. If he'd had any idea of certain events that had transpired? He'd definitely be freaking out.

Okay, so he was freaking out, but for an entirely different reason: he'd missed the snowboard-X competition at the Winter X Games.

This didn't stop him from lying on a couch in the common room (just for the change of scenery), scowling at ESPN and waiting to see if they'd replay any of it. As if it had been ESPN's fault that he'd been preoccupied and missed it in the first place.

"So, you go on that ski trip?" Wyatt said, deftly changing the subject. "How was it?"

"I did." Tori nodded, noticing the smooth transition. Very nice. "It was a blast!" She grinned. "I went snowboarding and tubing down the slopes. That was amazing! Plus there were some cool sports shops at the resort."

"Sounds like fun," Wyatt said. "If there's another trip, maybe I'll go. I don't know anything about skiing, though."

"Yeah, you should definitely come next time. It was a lot of fun." Tori grinned. "I prefer snowboarding over skiing."

"Never had much of a chance to do either in San Francisco," Wyatt said. "Surfing, now that I know."

"Yeah, Blue Bay Harbor wasn't exactly the ideal place for those activities."

Tori's eyes lit up at the mention of surfing. "I surfed all the time, back home." It was her thing; the boys had motocross and skateboarding, Tori had surfing. "And when it gets a bit warmer, I'll definitely be hitting the waves here."

Tori pretended to consider it. "Hrm, I always thought it was something else." She smirked. "I always had the power within me, but I learned how to control it when I started training at the Wind Ninja Acadmey." Tori explained.
