Second Floor Common Room, a little after noon

Parker was talking as she entered the common room. "And this is the Second Floor Common Room, which is the best, of course. Anyone will tell you that. It got blown up once, but then it was fixed."

She flipped on the TV set and started looking for Smile Time or a monster movie.

And possibly other students to inflict wee tiny grown ups on.

It had the desired effect on Rose, she placed her wee finger on her mouth, and she said quietly, "oh! i will keep my voice down now!"

"Thank you," she says. And knowing that positive reinforcement helped her when she was little- both times- adds, "You listen very well."
