Second Floor Common Room, a little after noon

Parker was talking as she entered the common room. "And this is the Second Floor Common Room, which is the best, of course. Anyone will tell you that. It got blown up once, but then it was fixed."

She flipped on the TV set and started looking for Smile Time or a monster movie.

And possibly other students to inflict wee tiny grown ups on.

"And choclit milkshak'. When I'm big I'mma have choclit alla time!" Emma bounced at the thought. "No, he wasn't wearing one, silly. He called me 'little bra' but I'm not a bra and he was being silly."

"Yay chocolate," Parker said, nodding. "Ohhh, Jude. Gotcha. And yes, he's like that a lot." She grinned. This kid wasn't so bad. Why couldn't they all make sense?

"Man calls everyone bra?" Emma blinked up at Parker. That made no sense, even for grown ups. "Does he have..." There was a deep frown. "Ishues?"

"Ahh. I'm from Delaware, personally." The impulse to get mini-Emma to talk was very strong, but totally unfair, so Parker sighed and let that idea go. "My family lives there." Curiosity prompted her: "Do you remember last weekend?"

"Oh, yeah, you remember." Parker decided to veer away from that topic and said, "But he's getting better, and you were very helpful. So that's okay." She bit her lip. "Do you live by yourself?"
