Gym, Flag Football Practice - Mid Morning

John set up the gym for flag football practice.  There were cones marking lanes for a passing/receiving workshop.  Once everyone arrived, John and Molly demonstrated proper throwing and catching techniques.  Players were then instructed to partner up to try for themselves.  If they had questions or needed tips, John was around.

Molly smirked. "I punched open a door when the lock got fused shut and I broke the heavy bag or whatever it's called showing off," she said. "I got detention for it too. One of the few times I actually earned it."

John was impressed, then his face changed, "That's right! I heard on the radio that you had detention yesterday. How'd it go?"

"It was fun," Molly said with a shrug. "Aly set it up with a king and a maze so it was pretty cool."

"That's lucky," John complained. "When I had detention I had to eat a half dozen hot dogs and give a speech for Hades' family."

Molly made a face. "Hot dogs are okay, but not that many. And speeches for families are just mean."

"Well, I did make it about something I knew a lot about, so I can't say it was that bad," John admitted.

"That's good," Molly said and then gave John a teasing grin.

"Speaking of yesterday, how did your date with Abigail go? Do I need to go buy supplies for cookies?"

Molly blinked and was confused by his grin. She'd promised cookies if the date didn't go well so his reaction was really not what she was expecting. "What happened? Did you and Abigail not get along? Why are you happy the date didn't work out?"
