Gym, Flag Football Practice - Mid Morning

John set up the gym for flag football practice.  There were cones marking lanes for a passing/receiving workshop.  Once everyone arrived, John and Molly demonstrated proper throwing and catching techniques.  Players were then instructed to partner up to try for themselves.  If they had questions or needed tips, John was around.

"Actually, Turtle & Canary is going to sponsor the Gold Team and Caritas is going to sponsor the Blue Team," John said, chuckling at Willow's comment.

"That's wonderful!" Willow said. "And very kind of Turtle and Mr. GOB." Willow suddenly looked worried. "We won't be required to sing as a part of accepting their patronage, will we? Because I'm very bad at that."

"Uh, I don't think so?" John was perplexed at the idea of singing for sponsorship, but he was still new to Fandom. It could be a usual thing.

"Whew." Willow went back to smiling. "Good to know. Oh! Maybe the zombie band will play for us. In a musical sense. It could get messy if they tried to play the game. Like literally, considering the body parts issue."

"Let's hope not," John said, wrinkling his brow. "There's a second thing I need to tell you. I've just talked to two guys who want to join up."

"It is very thoughtful of them to pair up like that," Willow said. She got her player spreadsheet handy. "Who are they and what teams do we want to put them on?"

"Jim Ellison and Samuel Anders," John answered. "I'm thinking Jim on your team and Samuel on mine, if that works for you."
