Ino wandered in after first period class, nevermind that it wasn't on her floor, in search of food. She smiled at the guy, another one that she didn't recognize and said, "Good morning."

"I'm Ino. Nice to meet you." She poured herself a bowl of cereal and wandered over, "Anything interesting on?"

"Sounds good to me." Ino laughed, "Did you just wake up? I've been up for hours already, first for some handwavy training and then I had class first period."

"Taijutsu. Um, that's hand-to-hand combat." Ino shrugged, eating some cereal and stepping on the urge to pry. "I find tea helps if I can't sleep."

"Ninja." Ino said, grinning a little. "I can do more than hand-to-hand but it's my weakest skill, so I'm trying to work on it here. Especially since I can't carry my regular weapons and I was advised that some of my other... skills... wouldn't be appreciated here."

"There's a few others from my world around here too." Ino told him, "What about you? Any special skills?"

"That's neat. Isn't 'witch' normally used for girls?" Ino asked curiously, "We don't any sort of magic like that in my world, except for in stories."

"Ooooh, okay. That's cool." Ino didn't really get it. "From Konoha! It's a village in a place that's almost like this world's feudal Japan, only with TV and radio."

"Yondaime-sama, Kabuto," she wrinkled her nose slightly at Kabuto's name, smile going rueful, "and Haku-san, but I don't really know him."

"Oooh, with how everything is just a bit different?" Ino looked interested, "A few of my friends come from slightly in the past and they say that it's weird."

"..." Ino stared at him, "That's um. Weird. Do they know?"

"Won't that mess up the timeline? Or something like that?" Ino took a moment to picture her dad as a teenager and shuddered. "Does that sort of thing happen a lot?"

"Like people who are dead in one timeline aren't in another?" Ino said, "Yondaime-sama died in my timeline when I was only a few weeks old."
