Third Floor Common Room - Friday Morning

Chris was kind of cranky after his visit to Caritas with Lana last night.

So he decided to hole up in the common room with mindless daytime television and sugary cereal as company.

"In Ethics." Ino clarified, "We were talking about forgiveness and stuff." She leaned forward, "I went as a flying pig for a dare, what did you go as?"

"Forgiveness, uh. Let me guess, you don't do it so well?" It was just a guess, seriously. "A banana split," he grinned.

Ino crossed her arms and mock-glared at him. "We did temperance too." And she totally sucked at both. "I'm... not the best at either." Obviously. "... do I want to know how you managed to do that?"

"Did you? All right if you had to pick, which would you say you were better at?" Johnny wasn't good with either one either. "Probably not," he said with a wry chuckle.

"Erm." Ino thought about that, "... forgiveness. Barely." She eyed him, "I won't ask then. Kabuto went as a female nurse." Because she was totally telling as many people about that as possible. "Since I went as a flying pig, I mean."

"I'm not good with either. Seriously," he said and drank more of his oj. "Kabuto? I have no idea who that is? And I can't imagine your costume. Did you really fly?"

"I never would have guessed." She was totally teasing him, and laughed, "I had wings, but no actual flying. That would have been fun. Kabuto's my sorta boyfriend. It's a bit weird. He's tall, silver-haired and wears glasses?"

He smirked. "Ah, yeah, he's the TA in my science class. Never talked to him though and uh, sorta boyfriend? How's that work exactly?"

"It uh," Ino wrinkled her nose, "mostly consists of us arguing, and sometimes going out on dates, and ~~handwavy~~ training together sometimes. He's a jerk." That last was said firmly. "I don't like him at all." She totally wasn't in denial or anything.

"Uh-huh, sounds like it, Ino," Johnny commented dryly. "Must be hard hanging around with a jerk that you totally don't like."

She blushed, just a little. "I don't like him. Really. But he argues with me." Ino said with a shrug, "That's a huge plus. And his hair is nice."

"You... like to argue?"

Ino looked sheepish, "All the time. I'm not kidding when I say I suck at temperance."

"Are you in debate? Cause that would be a great class for you."

"No. If it's around next semester I'll probably sign up though." Ino tossed her head, "I'm in Sex Ed, Ethics, and Whatever." Which was the best class name ever.

"Sex Ed is a great class, though I know it's not taught by the same teacher. You and Kabuto share any classes?"

"Miss Lulu is an awesome teacher. And we share Ethics." Ino made a face, "He was my partner for the midterm and didn't even show up to class." He'd had a good reason, but still.

"Miss Lulu? God, what a name for a sex ed teacher because yeah, I get this image in my head associated with that name. Not pretty." He made a face. "Does Kabuto know you are kind of his girlfriend?"

"What sort of image?" Ino asked dubiously, "And yeah, he knows. He's even fallen asleep with his head in my lap. And we went to Homecoming together. We're not exactly serious about it though so..."

"You don't want to know but I will say that it involves polka-dots," he said and maybe he was just flashing back to a certain grade school teacher he had. Ugh. "Oh. Well. All right. Kind of weird though, you got to admit."

Polka dots and Miss Lulu were a bad enough mental image. Ino winced. "What's weird about it?" She asked with an innocent grin, "We get along in our own way. Kinda."

"Yeah, that's what's weird. A kind of girlfriend and kind of boyfriend situation? Weeeeeird." What? He had to tease her. She was right there, just asking for it.

"Not every relationship has to be lovey-dovey." She retorted, still smiling, "I'd be out of my mind with boredom in a relationship like that. Geez."

"I don't know, the lovey-dovey can be so damn great," he said, thinking of yesterday and the other night and... yeah... ohh happy place.

Ino rolled her eyes, "For some people, I guess. You're a romantic then?"
