4th floor common room, Saturday late afternoon-evening
A certain red-clad Cadet had gone to the common room, armed with a handwavily freshly-purchased pepperoni pizza and the garbled mess that was his class notes from the past week, so he could spread out and attempt to make sense of them, especially because he had a test coming on Thursday. However, the second he'd lay down on one of the couches, he began to drift off. He was still feeling quite unlike himself and still had had difficulty sleeping- not in the least of which because he often started dreaming about Dru when he closed his eyes.
So there was a dozing Sky, an open notebook covering his face, thinking he'd just take a 15-minute nap to refresh himself. Yeah, right.
[Open as a common room is. He might be nice and share his pizza if you want to prod him awake, otherwise he'll be asleep out here pretty much all night.]

He was looking for something to drink. Spotting Sky on the couch, Adam couldn't help but smile slightly.

"Mmmm," he sighed.

... Okay. He snickered. While he stole a piece of pizza, even.

"...mrrrrgh," he said.

But he didn't quite feel like leaving, either.

But yeah, Troy was being totally quiet as he sat there, occasionally looking over towards Sky to watch him sleep

"...Dru?" he asked sleepily, before blinking hard and shaking his head. No, he was at Fandom, and Dru was... He then spotted his company. "Troy?" he asked instead.

"...I do and I don't," he said. "I told Bridge on Friday and almost broke down, because he's the only person here who knew Dru. But at the same time, they haven't found a body, so... I'm trying to let go, but still hoping at the same time. It's complicated."

"In Dru's line of work- he was training to be an undercover operative- no, there aren't very many. Which is why I'm wanting to let go, but everyone keeps reminding me that he's not unquestionably gone til they find his body..."

Troy winces as soon as he says it, not really having intended to do so, but... at the same time, it's the truth.

"I'm sure," he said. "I just don't know when." He looked hopelessly at Troy. "...I really like you, Troy. I honestly do. But I'm also really, really confused right now. I like you, but I also loved Dru, and I know he'd want me to be happy, but since I'm not sure if he's even dead..." He stopped. "I'm starting to sound like Bridge. OK, clear and concise- I'm confused as hell right now. But I'm getting to a point where I can think and talk about him without wanting to cry or throw up, at least, so that's better than I was even yesterday."

"Well... I'm flattered," he finally said.

Troy flailed a little more internally at what he'd said, not having intended to say anything of the sort. "So, uh, yeah," he said, struggling for words as he got to his feet. "Thanks for the pizza! Uh, I'll see you around?"
no subject
"You're welcome, thief." He winked, offering Troy his blanket back. "And yeah, I sure will. I should probably try and study some more, now that I've had a nice long brief rest."
