Fourth floor common room, Sunday evening

Dean was in the kitchen cooking up some hamburgers. He was making more than even he could eat because he knew how food around here seemed to conjure up people to eat it.

He'd brought his ghetto blaster out too and was singing along to Metallica as he cooked.

"Child Development, Food Appreciation and Movie Appreciation," Peyton said cheerfully. "And somehow I ended up in some Leadership class. Sooo not me."

"I'll see you in food class," Sam said. "I wanted to take a class with Dean, and that's the one I picked. And Leadership should be good. That's Peter's brother's class. He's a really good guy."

"Guess the three of us will be there together," Peyton said with a smile. "It sounded interesting so having you guys there will be a bonus."

She thought about the other one for a while, then grinned. "Peter's brother, huh? Think he'll buy it if I tell him that sort of makes him my brother too so he has to go easy on me?"

"You can certainly try," Sam said. "He was nice to me when I took his class. But then again, that was when Peter and I were just friends, and weren't dating."

"Not exactly. I know he's more okay with it than Peter's mother is," Sam said. "But I think he'd prefer if Peter was with someone else. Maybe with a girl, so it'd be more normal. Definitely with someone who never ever got possessed by demons."

"That's not your fault," Peyton said firmly. "There was nothing you could have done about that. Oh, and Dean said he'd be glad to help us set up the protective stuff for my room."
