Around The Cabins, Wednesday

There were posters placed all about the cabins for a second week in a row. Yes, still poorly spelled. Poor man.

No one seemed to have the heart to inform him of this issue

Magikal Reserve!

Calling all off the magik using kinde! If ye wish to help protecte the island, comme to the woods next to the cabins on Fryday.

Questiuons, aske Tony or Merlin!

"I'm terribly sorry to have to break this to you," Agnes observed as she watched him put up a poster, "but your spelling's atrocious." She shrugged at Merlin apologetically.

"Your spelling?" Agnes prompted again. "You've spelled quite a lot of words wrong."

Not that she expected to WIN this argument -- she'd had it enough times back home to know better -- but here on Fandom they seemed to care more about things like proper spelling.

"Well, at least half the words that end in 'e' oughtn't," Agnes told him. "And 'questions' is a bit 'u'-heavy, and 'magic' only has a 'k' if you're the sort who's into crystals and nature and eyeliner. But the real standout is 'Friday', which you managed to misspell differently than you did last week."

She bit her lip and looked guilty. "Um... sorry?"

"Really, now, Merlin. You've gotten all your ideas of spelling from arcane tomes of mystery, haven't you? It's really frustrating, how much was written before they invented proper spelling."

Agnes frowned and bit her lip. "Um. Okay? I mean... that is... Well, my mum can't spell very well either, you know."

Morgana stared at the sign, as though that would make the language make sense. No, it wasn't the spelling that was throwing her - it was the idea of "magic" and "Merlin" going together, and she made a mental note that this would definitely be something to check out, if only from a discreet distance.

Liir noted the poster on his way to work and decided that Friday was going to be bloody busy for him.

Arthur passed by the posters eventually.

His first impulse was to find Merlin and insult his insanely incomprehensible handwriting. Fryday? Protecte? What kind of mad, incontinent ape had taught Merlin how to write?

His second impulse wasn't so much an impulse as a conglomeration of words, the words ranking three, and being, in no particular order, oh, fuck, and Morgana.

Zack stopped as he noticed the poster, and gave it a good read-over.

And then another one. And then another. Not because of the spelling- Zack didn't even notice the spelling.

Oh, no, he read it over, because he was committing the date to memory. Friday! He'd be there!

Shilo noticed one of the posters on her way back to the cabin and shook her head.

"I wonder if he would take the wrong way if I offered to look over the posters before he hung them up," she mused aloud.

Karla glared at the poster. She wasn't too upset over the misspellings--clearly, they had to be deliberate--but Friday conflicted with the multicultural fair. She was going to be too busy making real magic to run off and play in the woods!
