roof | evening | august 17 | monday

After getting his one class completed, Alex found his way onto the roof to smoke. It was a warm night but it was clear and that meant he could stay up here for awhile and not worry about dying of heat or getting rained on. With a free day tomorrow, getting the relaxation started early just seemed like the thing to do.

He stuck a cigarette in his mouth and lit it, letting it hang from his lips for a few moments before blowing out a cloud of smoke. He wasn't stressed by any means of the imagination but after being a girl and spending most of his weekend being lazy, it was nice to be himself and outside.

And see, he was even being nice, getting out of the room in case Griff wanted it. He was all heart.

"That could be the case. Would explain why I hate doing school work," Chuck said. "I mean, there's not much of a point to it, is there?"

"Speaking from experience?" he asked. "Impressive. Most teachers at my school were missing teeth or were so old, they creaked."

"I went to an upscale private school. Most of the teachers could afford plastic surgery," Chuck said. "So they weren't half-bad looking."
