Fifth Floor Common Room, Saturday Morning

There were smells and sounds coming from the fifth floor common room that would probably tempt most passers-by.
The sizzle and crackle of bacon and eggs, the bready smell of toasted English muffins, and... okay, it'd be really hard to smell or hear the orange juice just passing by.

Jennifer Walters was feeling good that morning. And she just wanted to share that feeling with others. Making breakfast seemed like a good way to do that.

And if the sounds of breakfast didn't bring people in, the fact she was playing Lady Gaga over a radio might help, she thought.

[ooc: So open!]

Jacob could sleep through anything, really. He had to considering his own snoring, but the smell of food? (Yes, even the orange juice. Wolf senses.) Yeah, that was going to be enough to get him out of bed. Especially when it came from right down the hall.

He'd thrown on a t-shirt, but his hair was still sticking in all directions when he ducked into the room. "That smells good."

Good morning to you too.

"Sweet," he grinned at her. "Thanks. You got bored or something?"

He was already grabbing a plate and was stacking up the food. He was trying his best to not take too much, that'd just be rude, but his stomach was growling at the sight of it.

He glanced up from the food and it was quite possible it had distracted him from the surprise. Honestly, she didn't smell bad, that meant something.

"I think I'm done double taking around this place," Jacob said. "I've met some people I didn't think existed so I'm done. Granted, the green's kind of... obvious."
intraspective: (ah ha I have an idea!)

"Hi, you," Ino called. "Survived your first week, yeah?"

Well, obviously, but.

"I feel pretty alive," Jacob said, munching on a muffin. "So I'm going to assume that I did."
intraspective: (charming)

"You could be a zombie and just not know it?" she laughed. "Is there a type that doesn't rot right away?"

How was he supposed to know, Ino?

He gave her a strange look. "We'll know if I start snacking on your brains."
intraspective: (side glance)

"You'd have to catch me first," she sniffed. "And I don't play fair at all."

Ino had to be at the clinic soonish. But breakfast was the most important meal of the day and all of that.

Also, it smelled really good. And it was right by her room.

"I don't suppose you have some food to spare for a poor, starving sibling, mm?"
intraspective: (style!)

[personal profile] intraspective 2010-01-09 06:02 pm (UTC)(link)
"Lucky me," she chirped, wandering over to grab a plate. "Just felt like cookin' or something?"
intraspective: (just a smile)

[personal profile] intraspective 2010-01-09 06:07 pm (UTC)(link)
"Totally a success," she said, snagging some bacon and an English muffin. "Since it saves me the trouble of feeding myself."

Which probably would have meant a granola bar. She could cook but really it was so much of a hassle.

"How's your first week of classes been?"

Jack, out for a wander, found himself drawn up to the fifth floor, where despite that whatever it was that called itself music, there was an abundance of food calling him.

"Hey!" he said, smiling at the people hew knew. "Smells good."

[identity profile] inthereflexes.livejournal.com 2010-01-09 07:53 pm (UTC)(link)
"Thanks!" he said, getting a modest portion. "This? Smells wonderful. And it tastes great, too," he said, nibbling on a bite.

Leda had felt fantastic last night. She assumed. She didn't remember. This morning she was paying the price.

The smell of the food was...not helping her stomach. But she bravely hung on. The sight of the orange juice helped.

[identity profile] anarchist-queen.livejournal.com 2010-01-10 01:25 am (UTC)(link)
"Just a headache." Leda said, smiling wanly. "Could I get some of that orange juice?"

[identity profile] anarchist-queen.livejournal.com 2010-01-10 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
"Just a little." she admitted. "I'm usually willing to pay the morning after price of course." Mmm, OJ. Next to coffee and Peca it was one of her favorite hangover remedies. "You do anything fun last night?"
