Fifth Floor Common Room, Sunday Morning
It wouldn't be the first time Dolf surfed the TV channels in the common room; he'd gotten over the shock of being reintroduced to audiovisual stuff pretty quickly. It was the lack of familiarity of the channels that still threw him, at this point, and he was determined to do something about that.
It might be a case of a very small victory, but it was something, and kept him from feeling like he had to relearn everything.
Still, he had to admit he was very, very relieved to find that, given enough presses of the next channel button, Eurosport finally appeared. Sure, it wasn't football but the Vuelta, but it was still strangely comforting.

"A shock how?" Really, she had to ask, even though part of her was saying that she shouldn't ask because mermaids with magical legs shouldn't throw stones, here...

After only a few months. Dolf felt like he should be worried about that, somehow, though thinking of his parents still made his insides squeeze together tightly.

"Is your memory...?" she asked, trailing off because she wasn't sure if that was the sort of thing that would be okay to ask someone within not even half an hour of speaking to them.

Oh. Oh. "No, no, it's-- fine," he said, holding his hands up. "Just... a way of saying."

Because things were starting to just get...special.

She sounded so proud of herself for thinking she'd figured it out after all.
