Fourth Floor Common Room | Sunday Evening | 9/19

Elphaba, in an effort to stop being so gloomy around people, was making a concerted effort to try and be a bit more pleasant today. That meant putting on a smile and not worrying about Oz, or Nessarose, or even flying fish.

It also meant making a large fruit salad, with a liberal sprinkling of sugar. It wasn't as if she had a particular sweet tooth, it just seemed like a good idea for attracting other students if it was sweeter.

She settled in to a seat on a couch, and hesitantly switched on the TV. A re-run of a Mythbusters episode appeared, and Elphaba was promptly baffled.

[ooc: Open common room, open post!]

"Heh, no I've proved to myself and the world that I should never write poetry. Which is a shame cause I like poetry. Nah I just mean it's an impressive mustache.....what in the hell are they doing to that pig?"

"I won't." Leda assured her. She guessed from the way Elphaba had reacted that it was a touchy subject for her. She didn't know why, but there could be any number of reasons. "So, uh, maybe not the best time for TV."

To be fair the pig was already dead. But like as not Elphaba wouldn't be any happier with how it'd gotten that way.

"I'd love some!" Leda said, thinking of a way to change the subject. "You want any while I'm up?"

"Oh! Gods I'm sorry." Leda facepalmed. "I'm Leda, from Bordertown. Pleased to meet you."

"Partly." Leda piled some fruit on a plate and returned to the couch. "It's kind of on the border between two realms. The Human World, and Faery."
