Fifth Floor Common Room, Monday evening

Bruce had gotten over his cold just in time to be transformed into a poor excuse for a ninja last night. He woke up on a park bench this morning in a damp ninja costume with a little bit of a headache.

It had not been a pleasant few days.

And that's why Bruce was in the common room tonight with a DVD (to avoid the horrors of the TV's hatred of him) of a meta for Zorro movie. Were there some negative associations there? Yes, of course. But he still loved those old movies. There was just something about a rich playboy dressing up in a mask and cape to help people in need that appealed to him.

He even made popcorn in case anyone else stopped in and wanted to snack during the adventures of one of the greatest fictional characters ever created.

[OOC: I'm bored. OPEN CR!]

Elphaba was on the wrong floor, but she was on a hunt.

"Are there any apples in here?" she asked as she strolled in the common room door. "I can't seem to find any on my own floor." She barely even glanced at the TV.

"Most of the other snacks aren't quite to my liking," Elphaba said. "I have my principles and I must stick to them." She started looking in the fridge and turned back to look at the TV properly. "A man with a sword and mask?"

"If he's writing wrongs, why does he need to hide?" Elphaba asked. "I thought it was usually the villains who hid their faces."

"As a symbol?" Elphaba asked, skeptical. She retrieved an apple from the fridge crisper and walked over to get a closer look. "I'd think people would have trouble trusting him."

"And hope that no one with the same mask goes around stealing from people," Elphaba said. "The problem with a mask is that it could be anyone. Especially an outfit so... black."

Said the girl who wore mostly dark colors.

"It's not a gamble I'd take," Elphaba admitted, shaking her head. "But then again, I've never truly had to worry about not being unique."

She took a loud bite of her apple.

Elphaba chuckled and shook her head, while she chewed her bite of apple. After she swallowed, she spoke. "Depends on how you're treated for your uniqueness," she remarked. "You seem to rather like the masked gentleman. Is he a hero of yours?"

Yes, she was shifting the subject. Sometimes she wasn't quite comfortable talking about herself, even when she originally broached the subject.

Elphaba had to admit, that was appealing to her as well. "And he's fighting against a government that is wronging the people?" she asked. "That must be even harder. To be a rebel for good, it's almost unthinkable."

"Perhaps in this world," Elphaba said. "I can hardly think of any rebellions in Oz. Even when the Wizard graciously took over for the royal line," she didn't quite believe the rumors that it was less than pleasant, "it was quite peaceful."

"The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, he's called," Elphaba said. "Though hardly anyone ever sees him. But he saw Oz out of the great drought, which was a hardship for us all. He's a good leader."

"I didn't come up with the name," Elphaba said, making a little face. "No fair to make fun."

"I don't think he chose it, either," Elphaba said. "But he came from the sky, which was something no one had seen before."
