Crush party!- 6th floor common room- Friday night
Today was a busy one, and as soon as the play was over it was time to dash back to the dorms to make all the last-minute touch-ups for the party. It was as beachified as someplace in the dorms could be, there were plenty of (non-alcoholic) tropical drinks, and glitter everywhere.
Glitter, sand, totally the same thing.
And, Annie decided, considering the rampant "Do you want to go to the party?" happening last night, it was probably a good thing they hadn't gone the bouncer route.
[OCDgoing up! If you want to come and haven't received an invitation, totally feel free to say Annie tracked you down and invited you. So, technically open to all! *nods*]

Even if hearing such a thing would probably make Ben cry or something."What, do you say that to all the girls?" she teased. Or, well, she meant it to be teasing. God only knew how Anakin would take it.
Re: Arrive/Mingle
"I'm a Jedi," he maintained, shrugging. "Helping people's what we do. I can't stand around and watch people get hurt, even if it is just a short drop to the grass."
Re: Arrive/Mingle
"So, what, that's a kind of cop?" she guessed.
Re: Arrive/Mingle
"Not really, no," he said quickly, and started in on a brief but detailed explanation of the general structure of police forces
which I so do not have the brain to actually make up right nowbefore concluding, "But Jedi Knights aren't tied to the government or any one planet or anything like that, because we're supposed to be impartial."Ha.
"We just go where we're needed and do what we need to." Which at the moment involved a war, but that was depressing.
Re: Arrive/Mingle
A knight. She was talking to a knight and she wasn't getting in his pants? Her life was really hard sometimes.
"...like saving girls from trees," she concluded. "Sounds like interesting work." Which was maybe a prompt for him to go on
even if it needed to be narratively handwaved due to lack of brain, la.Re: Arrive/Mingle
"No, more like stopping civil wars, or delivering top-secret messages," he said, and he almost sounded insulted. Almost.

He sort of still refused to believe that could be the majority of them.

At fifteen. At fifteen, she'd been... well, let's leave that out of it.

Yes, Rebecca, that was a smart thing to say. Really now.

Big difference there to someone not familiar with the Order, Anakin. Really.

"Interns are for politics and things like that," Anakin insisted.
Re: Arrive/Mingle
"And Jedi Knights," Rebecca said with a
condescendingsolemn nod. "Apparently."Re: Arrive/Mingle
"You didn't even know what one was until a couple of minutes ago," Anakin -- didn't snap, exactly, but it was close.

. . . don't go there, Anakin. You always think you have the clever arguments.
