Third floor common room [morning]

Cade didn't even have classes today, but he'd woken up when he'd rolled over and had been poked by karking electronics on the sweater he most certainly hadn't been wearing when he'd fallen asleep last night.

It had a tree on it. It blinked. It itched. If Cade stretched the wrong way, it played the most out-of-tune version of Jingle Bells ever recorded. And it wouldn't come off.

Cade was strongly considering setting it on fire, even with him inside of it.

He sat down and winced as the sweater started playing music again.

"I hate this island."

Karolina had a sweater too. And yes, it also blinked. But it didn't play Christmas tunes!

Which would be why she was poking her head into this common room with a curious look on her face.

"Is that coming from the TV, or...?"

"I karking wish," Cade said, pointing down to his horrible, horrible sweater. "Think I should douse it with water and hope for the best?"

"I don't know," Karolina said, chewing thoughtfully on her lip as she stepped into the room. "The short circuiting might give you a shock?"

"Might be worth it," Cade said. "This thing is the ugliest shirt I've ever seen, though yours is a close second."

She chuckled, glancing down at her own shirt. "I don't think it's so bad." But she was Karolina Dean, so that was to be expected. "The snowmen are kind of cute? But the blinking is a little... distracting."

She kept thinking her powers were accidentally showing.

"There are shirts at home that change pattern with a touch," Cade said. "I shudder to think if these two ideas were combined."

"It might not be so bad." You know, unless Fandom was there to make things extra hideous. She tilted her head to the side, curiosity renewed. "There are shirts that can do that?"

Cade nodded. "They tend to be in really loud patterns which isn't my thing on days when I'm not wearing a shirt that sings."

Cade's idea of dressing up was wearing sleeves.

Karolina put on a judging face, tilting her head again and twisting her lipsin thought, as if this called for careful consideration.

Then she smiled and said, "Yes, definitely. It might bring out your eyes! Definitely more than the blinking."
