Second Floor Common Room; Saturday Morning [01/29].
A letter had arrived from Libby's grandma, with a little note and a little spending money, pointing it out that it wasn't much, but it was more than what she was used to making do with. And while it would have seemed wise to save it, Libby missed making big meals with her mom so much that she headed to the store, picked up what she needed, and then headed back to the common room to start putting together a nice breakfast casserole.
And if anyone woke up and wanted to have some with her, all the better, but if not, she already had some Tupperware ready to go to go and a list of people she planned on distributing the leftover to.
[[ work is suspiciously slow right now and I know i shouldn't trust it, but i'mma post anyway! Open common room is open for all your common room and breakfast needs! ]]

And for a split second Kurt had thought about porting to the room real quick to get it but thought better of it. The last time he had done that when Libby was writing her letters he had been off a bit on his aim and had ported into the hallway rather than into the room. It was too early to g porting around everywhere as he was still learning the layout of the dorms. He had been lucky because he knew he could have just as easily ended in inside the wall or something worse!

"I usually...take most of mine when I'm at the animal shelter," she said. "On Mondays."
She may have also taken one of Hedwig's face, finding it amusing that she might present an literal bird's eye in class, but she probably wouldn't actually show it, it would probably be too silly.

Kurt suddenly remembered Prompto's suggestion earlier in the class to use the shelter as a great place for some cute shots of the animals.
"I will have to stop by some time. Do you have animals other than dogs and cats?"

In fact, talking about all the other animals there was a much better topic, and that stiffness seemed to melt away with a brightening in her eyes as she nodded.
"Oh, we have many," she assured him. "There are cats and dogs, of course, but we also have birds, and guinnea pigs and little mice and lizards." She didn't really like those, at first, but they were starting to grow on her; they could be surprisingly cute sometimes. " A lot of fish, they actually have this brand new tank that....uh..."
Well, no need to mention the tank, because that would lead right back to Sidon!
"Oh! And some ferrets and hedgehogs!" How could she have forgotten about them? Her smile seemed to grow a little, her cheeks going a little pink. "Really, I'm getting to learn about so many different animals there, it's been really great. You should stop by; they always love seeing new people."

He had grown up with just his parents and the animals in the woods around their farm form friends. So in many ways, Kurt still felt a bit more comfortable with animals, of all sorts, than he did with most people. So the animal shelter, that almost sounded like a slice of heaven to him.
"Will definitely try to shop by soon!"

And the constant cat attacks.
And the terrifying sharkman who ran the place.
....it really didn't take much to please Sakaki.
She nodded. "They'll like that," she said. "And they really do make for good photographs."
