When the group had gathered today for the weekly reserves meeting, they'd probably notice the distinct lack of Arthur. And of Leto, for that matter. Zack had been sitting on the sidelines as he watched people gather, his sword in one hand and his gaze occasionally flicking toward it before, finally, he decided it was time to get started. The sword got a twirl before it went onto his back, and he stepped out in front of the group.

"So, is everybody here, now? Some of you guys are rookies, right?" It was a new semester, and there had been so many new kids on the weekend, it only stood to reason that there would be new faces, either because people had passed on the fact that the group existed at all, or because they'd wandered past and stopped to see what was going on. Or, at least, that was the hope. "Before I get started with today's activity, then, I have just one piece of advice." A beat, and then he shook his head. "No, an order."

He fell quiet, reaching for the sword at his back, holding it up in the air for a moment for everyone to see, and then pressing it against his forehead. He sighed. He smiled. And then he lowered it again.

"Embrace your dreams. And, whatever happens, protect your honor. Got it?" He looked over the group one more time. "No matter what happens this year, we're all getting out of it alive, you hear me?" The sword was hoisted up again, like some sort of beacon for all to see, before Zack returned it to his back, and seemed to snap out of whatever 'dreams and honor' daze he'd managed to drift away into.

"Because it's a new term, and we're likely to have some new faces, we're going to start with introductions again. Just your names and what sort of tactical experience and weapons specialty you've got. I'm Zack Fair, SOLDIER 1st Class. Elite military, in Midgar, and my weapon is... Well, I'm sure you've figured it out. While you're at it, feel free to swap contact information, in case something does happen around here and we need to get in contact with fighters in a hurry. Talk about the invasions that you've been through here, let the rookies know what to expect here on Fandom Island, and what was done to fend them off. Today is just another day for finding our footing, and I'll try to get you guys into the heavy stuff next week. For now, you have your discussion topics. Let's go."

[Open to all! For those new around here, this would be the weekly meeting of Fandom's military reserve! Anybody with an interest in protecting the island is welcome to show up to these meetings! There's also a group for people with powers, and one for support services on other days of the week, but they're out of my jurisdiction- Totally worth keeping an eye open for, though!]

Inspired by her French class today, Rilla had slipped into her room to pick up her copy of a Victor Hugo novel (in English. Her French wasn't nearly that good) and curled up on a sofa in the common room with the book, an apple and a cup of tea (which tasted a bit stewed. Rilla wasn't used to make her own tea).

This, she decided as she turned a page, was a marvelous way to spend the afternoon.

[OOC: Oh so open.]

Peter had found the dorm piano. Having not felt a need to actually study anything for his classes, he decided the best way to spend his evening was playing various songs. And when it came Peter and the piano, it was not stuffy classical music like Bach.

Right now, he was playing Total Eclipse of the Heart. He'd probably take requests. Though if you name a song from the past fifteen years or so he'd have no idea what you were talking about.

[ooc: Open rec room is open!]

So... Bobby had never been up to the sixth floor except for parties and that one disastrous baking attempt with Sookie. Today, though, he was bored and wandering and... wondering where that random, unmarked door led.

The answer was, apparently, to a hallway with more doors. Bobby then opened one of those doors and...

"Whoa."

Bobby made a few calls, because holy crap this was way too awesome to keep to himself, and then settled in to wait for people to arrive.

[ooc: YES. RETURN OF THE SIXTH FLOOR ADVENTURES. Bobby called a whole bunch of people, and in his excitement probably called more than a few random numbers, if your character doesn't know him but would like an excuse to come play. MINOR OCD ONNAWAY UP.]
