A little research and a quick shopping trip (which he probably shouldn't have taken, since now his back was hurting a little bit) had netted Anders a nice cast-iron Dutch oven. Said Dutch oven had then been cleaned and seasoned, and was now nestled comfortably in the coals at the Salamander cabin campfire, a six-cupcake baking tray filled with chocolatey batter inside.

There was a pitcher full of more cupcake batter on a nearby log, oven mitts and tongs near the fire, and an Anders happily sampling the results of his campfire-baking test run.

Would it have been easier for him to just go down to J,GoB and buy cupcakes? Sure. But dammit, he'd wanted to find out if he could do it. So there.

[OOC: Open, with fresh, if slightly gooey, cupcakes! Also, really slow/flakey/nonexistent comment notifications, so apologies in advance for slowness.]

Tannim wasn't the biggest fan of the Great Outdoors - or rather, the Great Outdoors didn't like him very much, seeing as he was allergic to just about everything that grew outside. But it *was* camp, and anyway, how often did you get to burn things for fun? So he was outside at his cabin's campfire with a stack of wood, trying (rather unsuccessfully) to get a fire started.

[Open to anyone, especially if you can help with the fire.]

Savannah had -- for once -- woken up early. Quickly realizing that her being restless in the cabin might irritate her cabin mates -- and the new friends she was making -- she had opted for ducking outside the cabin with her leather bound journal and a book. Thankfully, she had chosen one of the grimoires that she and Paige had put a book cover, making it look like some boring textbook.

Now, she was sitting in a canvas chair and writing notes in her journal -- even as she was thinking about last night's still being played out date with Johnny Storm. He was pretty and fun, and it had been kind of sweet that he thought he might need to protect her. Eve would bust a gut laughing about a teenage guy thinking that she needed protection.

Then again...

If he was one of the guys here that had powers, it might be nice to know, just in case anything bad happened -- or came after her.

It was a good thing no one had overheard them talking about him only using his alcove to sleep... yet. She didn't want to imagine how Eve might have reacted to that.

She should really seek out Wyatt and Tannim again, too. She had enjoyed talking with them and there was something about Wyatt that reminded her of Adam.

[[OOC: Open like an open thing with no doors.]]

Kabuto had handwavily moved in the day previously, but had had the curtain shut. He'd claimed B-something-or-other-that-doesn't-conflict, bringing mostly books with him from his dorm room. That, and his laptop.

He had the laptop with him in the living room area, typing away furiously with the tv on in the background. Occasionally he'd glance up and wonder why it was on Food Network, but it wasn't worth trying to find the remote and flip stations. Besides, it was vaguely entertaining in a way.

Living with seven other people in one cabin was going to be Interesting, to say the least. Might as well get on with meeting them all, so he knew what he was dealing with.

((sp is love T_T post is mainly so Salamandarians can meet up, 'cause yeah :D))
