After work which she had totally gone to even it wasn't posted, Rey came back and didn't feel like hiding out in her room tonight. Instead, she'd gone to the common room to see if there was anything that looked good on TV.

There was only one thing she saw that looked remotely interesting so far, and it had left her with a very strong curiosity as to who Kanye was and why they kept talking about him.

As you might expect of a table Frank was going to be at all day, it was less a table and more a bar because when a table holds that many bottles it gets a new name.

Prom tickets and voting for prom court were theoretically also available, and Frank would be glad to help you with that. Just less glad than he would be to help himself to that bottle next to the tickets, obviously.

There was a table with Valentine's Dance tickets and order forms for flower sales set up since the morning. And sometime in the afternoon, Frank made his way to the table, ready for a full day of selling either or both. And he would stay there well into the night and eventually wonder why it was dark so early.

Fortunately, he had booze to keep himself from caring about the fact that his internal clock was off from the real world by about six hoursl

Frank was wearing a suit, a top hat, and was drinking champagne from a flute. He looked for all the world like he was prepared to celebrate the new year in an exuberant manner. In truth, he had no idea what day it was. He hadn't even glanced at a calendar in over a month.

He flipped through the channels on the TV looking for anything that wasn't some sort of concert out in the cold in New York or a marathon of a show he would not watch under normal circumstances. He glared at the TV with some degree of annoyance as he settled in for Automobiles 2 in Spanish. Thanks but NO THANKS, Telemundo.

[OOC: I've got two thumbs and a quiet NYE, so here's a post. THIS GUY! Wait I did that wrong.]

Gwen had come to the common room to take in some mindless TV... and found all the furniture covered in brightly colored fur? Maybe it wasn't really fur, but like, nylon disguised as fur?

She took a seat on the sofa and took a second before picking up the remote. "This is like sitting on a Muppet."

[I wanted fluff, I posted fluff. Some SP on the drive but open!]
sampippy: ([neg] Ugh unbelievable.)

This was unbelievable. This whole school was a mess. Xanthippe had been keeping mostly to herself for the past two weeks, because what even was this place? She hated it here, and she was like, totally sure they were slipping her drugs somehow because there was no other way that class with the ponies made any sense.

But she'd just been on the phone with her mom – again – arguing for why she needed to get back to Connecticut, and how this whole island was a freak show, and it wasn't healthy, come on, it was like totally stunting her mental growth to be here with these people and this environment –– and her mom had said no. She'd said no. Double-you tee eff?

And now Xanthippe was having to dig through a bunch of other people's groceries in the fridge just to get to her diet soda from yesterday.

"Gross. Gross. Gross."

Ugh. She did not approve of your choices of food and beverages, people using the fourth floor fridge. Not at all. She needed a fridge for her room, stat.

"Now this is just ridiculous," Frank said, feeling the need to set a scene through expository dialogue. "This place has a bar that won't serve people under a certain age, no elevator in the dorms for liquor delivery, and now I find out they don't even have spare cocktail shakers in public areas for those of us whose shakers are in the shop getting a tune up. And I thought this was a free country."

"Now I'm just going to sit down, watch some TV that I don't even know what it is, and drink unshaken drinks, well I guess not everything is terrible." Frank poured himself an unshook drink and drank. "Not terrible at all."

[OOC: Open for anyone who is around and may also have strong opinions on the lack of respect shown to young drinkers. Or not.]

Face it: only having two classes, spaced out on different days of the week, wasn't exactly enough to keep a fourteen-year-old occupied. Sooner or later, April had time on her hands and decided she should explore.

Eventually she discovered the common room, and the wondrous amount of cooking supplies that lay within, and her squeals of delight could probably be heard from down the hall.

She cranked up the music on her phone loud enough that it could be heard through her headphones, and she got to baking. Well, dancing and baking. Cupcakes and Taylor Swift made for a good combination.
