Flag Football, Main Gym - Afternoon

John and Willow had handwavily left messages for the all the players abut the change in practice time.
The gym was set up for flag football. There were gold and blue flags in two boxes. Above the boxes players could see the huge poster Willow'd made. It was covered in stickers and glitter and written in many colorful markers. The poster listed the two teams and the names of the players on each team as follows:

Gold Team Blue Team
John Sheppard, captain Willow Rosenberg, captain
Abigail Whistler Adam Park
Billy Kessler Andros
Bridge Carson Annette Hargrove
Chad Sado Jim Halpert
Dawn Summers Jo Harvelle
Dean Winchester Marco Conrad
Dick Casablancas Sam Winchester
Evie Carnahan Shawn Farrell
Johnny Storm Sokka

The poster also encouraged players to pick the proper color flags and join their captain for practice. There were also bottles of water by the sign in sheet just cuz I love that icon.

[OOC: Wait for OCD is up! All oglers welcome in the watching/cheering thread, but remember: Those who watch too much football will wear out their end zone.]

Evie was not pouting. No. No. Just, possibly, looking most disconsolate that she wasn't on the same team as her boyfriend. And having a bad time attaching a gold flag to her belt.

Whooo, Gold Team. Chad trying to figure out those pesky flags took more concentration than it probably should have.

Abigail was pleased with how the teams turned out, at least in relation to the few names she recognized. Now, she was trying to figure out the best way to attach her gold flags to her belt.

Glancing over the team rosters, Dean was fairly pleased with the outcome. They so had the better team.

He picked up his flag and worked on sticking it on his belt, cheerfully humming AC/DC under his breath.

Johnny grabbed the flags and belt and looked around at his other teammates.

Shawn stretched a little, and found himself some of the gold flags for attachment. and now in the right thread, ahem.

Adam was excited about this, happy to recognize a couple of the names from his team. He stretched a bit and attached the flags to his belt.

Marco attached the flags to his belt and wondered if it would be cheating to have a non-human animal on the team.

Sam looked over the team list, wondering if it was going to be weird being on the opposite team from Dawn. He was looking forward to having the chance to beat Dean though.

Annette frowned at being on a different team than Dick. But then she realized it might be fun getting to kick his butt.

The Blue Team was going to win. Oh, yes.

She started attaching flags to her belt, hoping she was good and prepared for this.

Evie and Dean were on the other team. That made Sokka a very saaad Sokka. Especially Evie. On the other hand... a) he was on the blue team, and blue was always awesome, and b) they were goin' DOWN!!!

He waved sadly to Evie, and then turned to his teammates.

"YEAH, blue team!!! We ROCK! Yellow's goin' DOWN!!!"

Jim grabbed his flags and put them on.

He wondered if he'd be able to rig his flags to keep them on tighter and get away with it. Probably not.

Willow was there with a clipboard and a blue Gremlins baseball cap.

"Okay team," she said, "listen up! You're the best of the best because Blue Team has no time for losers or people who trip over their shoelaces while running which now that I think about it would probably fall under the 'loser' heading but either way double check your shoes and maybe tie one of those double knots to be on the safe side.

"Today I want to see you give 100%! Because on our team we rule at flag football but also at math and we know that 110% is a stupid phrase because once you have 100% you have covered the full amount which is the point of 100% and anyone who says otherwise deserves to have wet sponges flung at their heads.

"So do your best! Play hard! Stretch so you don't go all crampy! Score goals if you're on offense! Be big and imposing if you're on defense! Don't rule out trying to trip people so long as you don't get caught! Any slackers will be made to give me twenty! I'm not sure twenty of what yet but I'm told this is the thing to give! Failure is not an option! Please hit the bathroom now if you need to go because you can't call a time out for it later! I read that in the rulebook! Be the best Blue Team that you can be, YAY!!!

"Oh and there's cookies for after if you get hungry."

Willow beamed at them all proudly.

Teddy wasn't there for ogling. Nope.

Though if Chad or anyone else decided to take off their shirt during the game, he certainly wouldn't look away.

John found his way to the gym after sleeping way in accidentally. The basketball team of yore was nice but this was football, flag or not, and just being able to do whatever a faculty advisor was supposed to do was exciting.
