The Roof, Monday Afternoon
Well, that was it for another term of workshops, then, and now there was a week to look forward to not a heck of a lot of anything at all.
Zack, of course, was going to kick that off by attempting to get in touch with the Director back in Midgar, to see if there was any important work for him yet. That phone call was met with no answer from Lazard, and so little success. That idea having fallen through, Zack decided to default straight to... Plan B.
...
The view of the clouds was way more awesome from the roof than it was down on the ground! And, in a rare moment of something not unlike planning ahead, Zack had even brought lemonade.
Now he was all set for whatever break week could throw at him, oh yes.
[Open roof, open post! Hi!]

[Open roof, open post! Hi!]

He wasn't thinking about that when he went up to the roof for some fresh air. "Hey man. Having a picnic?"
Well, there was lemonade.

Zack shrugged and offered up the juice jug and the package of disposable cups that he'd grabbed. He had been a student here long enough to know better than to think that if you had food in a public place, then it was completely your own.

Ew.

She had forgotten about how bright the sun was up here. And how crowded the roof could get.
"Kiss kiss," she said, clinging tight to her mug. "Gah. Stupid sunlight."
no subject
... Nope, she seemed not-firey-enough.
"Crazy night?"
He was guessing, here.

At least, she was assuming this was a hangover. Hard not to recognize that sludgey feeling.
no subject
She held out her mug. "It's a hangover remedy I learned from the coven. Astringent. It's tart enough to make my tongue curl, but it helps clear away the muzzy feeling."

She knew this human and this human was awesome. So have a purring kitten staring up at you, Karla!
Hinata hid a smile as she watched.

It was possible Karla was infatuated, yes.

He tried to hide the bucket of water balloons behind his back. It didn't work so well.
no subject
"You weren't? But it's the roof, man. It's probably one of the busier spots around here, if only because of all of the smokers in our school."
And the emo kids.
"If I offer you some lemonade, do I get water balloon immunity?"

For now, there were amazingly fluffy clouds to soak in. And she could wave to the guy she'd seen at Magic Reserves.
"I should have brought a book," she said. And a lounge chair, and sunscreen, and cold drinks ... oooh, maybe he'd share his lemonade.
no subject
"You don't need a book when you're up here," he pointed out. "Just look up! The clouds are awesome today."

Or if it would be better to slip back downstairs before anyone noticed her. She could take Yei out to the preserve as well, after all.
no subject
Too late, Hinata. You'd been spotted. Or, well, your tagalong had been. Zack totally recognized that kitten, and was now waving the both of you down!
"Heya!"
no subject
Person? Person! Purring time was now!
Hinata had the world's most cheerful kitten, yes.
"Hello," she said, smiling slightly. "I am glad I do not seem to be intruding."
