2nd Floor Common Room | Sunday Morning
There was weird stuff happening on the island again and Jim wasn't affected. He'd woken up as himself and he'd stayed himself and he was still currently himself while sprawled on one of the couches in the common room.
Considering classes were done for the term, he probably should have still been asleep instead of up this early and out of bed but he couldn't resist the allure of possibly seeing some people he knew acting like people they weren't. He was an opportunistic jackass that way. But, he didn't think he could be blamed. If people were gonna go all weird, he had the right to laugh at them if they did stupid stuff, right?
Right.
He figured he had to be properly awake to do anything though so he was eating some 'borrowed' cereal and watching some motivational on TV to get himself going. Except all the TV was doing was boring him so he hoped the cereal was really magic or something to make up for it.
[Jim's normal and the CR's open]

Evan could be a very observant little guy when he set his mind to it, and, while he'd kind of holed himself up and just quietly read in his room yesterday, listening to today's radio broadcast had him kind of twitchy. Naturally, he was out and investigating the crazy.
... While, at the same time, kind of hoping not to actually run into any. Evan was a dreamer, sometimes.
no subject
Well, the radio sounded hilarious, at least.

Not that he minded especially when it came to things like dungeons and stuff.
"They shouldn't be acting this way for too much longer," he continued. "Back to normal and just living with the embarrassment."
no subject
"It's just another one of those temporary things, then?" These were Evan's big, hopeful eyes, Jim. See them, all big and hopeful? "Like when people change genders or turn into little kids or animals? I haven't been here for people turning into totally new people before, but if this isn't actually weird, um... weirdness... for the island, then I guess I shouldn't worry too much."

Hilarious. She was going to kill him when she was back but this was funny.
no subject
But it was nice to know the unimpressed look had made the transition over. "Excuse me?"

Her hair was clean (... mostly) and that was good enough for her.

Aww, Rox, tell us how you really felt.

[Jfc how did I miss this, I am so sorry.]

She liked Helen's hair! It showed creativity.
[[not a problem! i bawled my eyes out and thought you hated me, obvs.]]

Helen shrugged. "Victim of the world telling him he owns it, I guess. Jerk."

She wandered into the common room, flipped a wave at the people there, and started looking for some breakfast.

"Morning," he said conversationally. "How's it going there?"
no subject
Between the evudent lack of recognition and the fact her voice itself was different -- thicker, with a deaf accent -- it was pretty clear she had not gotten lucky.
no subject
"Good," he answered. "So, what's your name? I don't think I've seen you around and I'd remember someone as pretty as you."
He could still flirt with her!

Not that Daphne's hands had even necessarily been on them. She just wanted to announce her claim before she could find a chair to stand on in order to reach them. Stupid being short.

"What the hell is going on here?" Roxie wanted to know, eyeing the room. "Is this some kind of party or something?"
